Agenda
1-0 Update
1-0 Discussion
Rob, Alexis, Tony (and Rafi and Gordon by phone) met to discuss collaborative way forward with 1-0
Points of discussion:
- how we can get to 1-0 from where we are
- deliverables and timeline
- prototyping
AR: Next move has to be a properly managed project
Deliverables have to have value to participants and public
Timebox - 3 month project
Completion mentality
Consensus between contributors
AB: Very supportive of this
Need completion mentality
Can offer project management resource
RGr: Timelines?
RGo: Three month piece of work
At least 3 people involved
Not full time
Important not to rush - need to have confidence at the end that the spec is correct and complete
AR: Other than proving 1-0
Looking of ways to deliver direct value to users orgs on the PMC, vendors who have not yet implemented AMQP, and the wider community
Something like a "mock broker" - that can be used perhaps in a pilot project
Provide a mechanism for people to play with code that people can then evaluate - this is more likely to get feedback than simply a specification.
AB: Next week we need concrete deliverables that other member can commit to doing work against
