A Special Invitation to Expand Your Knowledge of AMQP

The AMQP Working Group invites you to attend a webinar on Wednesday, July 27th at 8:00am PST (4pm BST). Listen to the panel of key AMQP industry consortium members and analysts as they answer your questions and share their thoughts on:

  • The potential market for AMQP and how this emerging protocol promotes standardised connectivity
  • How AMQP offers practical business-to-business interoperability, freedom from proprietary lock-in and strong support from vendors
  • Why it has become a surprise front-runner for passing data within cloud & high mobility infrastructures
  • Real business cases validating the use of AMQP
  • The current status of the AMQP specification

If you have any questions you would like to submit prior to this presentation, or if you wish to attend but cannot make the scheduled time, please email the panel moderator, Stacy Gorkoff, at sgorkoff@inetco.com, and she can send you a link to the recorded version.

Introducing AMQP - The Internet Protocol for Business Messaging Interoperability

The Advanced Message Queuing Protocol (AMQP) is an open business standard for messaging that avoids proprietary technologies, and lowers the cost of enterprise middleware software integrations through open interoperability. Messaging middleware is a vital utility for distributed computing and thus is a critical element in technology architectures. Currently, JMS offers only a partial solution because it is reliant on Java and does not specify wire-level interoperability. A truly open platform for messaging must aspire to support any platform and any language. AMQP also provides organizations with an easier, more secure approach to passing real-time data streams and business transactions between organizations, across distributed cloud computing environments, and within mobile infrastructures.

About the AMQP Working Group

The AMQP Working Group is a not-for-profit industry consortium that believes open interoperability is fundamental to intra- and inter-enterprise connectivity amongst the heterogeneous systems that comprise any organization. Backed by some of the world’s largest firms and leading integration vendors, the AMQP Working Group has created a standard that is positioned to become the de-facto open technology for middleware messaging.

AMQP Working Group members include: Bank of America, N.A., Barclays Bank PLC, Cisco Systems Inc., Credit Suisse, Deutsche Börse Group, Goldman Sachs, HCL, INETCO Systems Ltd, Informatica, JPMorgan Chase Bank & Co., Microsoft Corporation, my-Channels, Novell, Progress Software, Red Hat Inc., Software AG, Solace Systems Inc., StormMQ, Tervela Inc., TWIST, VMware Inc., and WSO2 Inc.
