OASIS AMQP Technical Workshop [May 2012]

The OASIS AMQP Member Section Action Group has proposed holding a five day AMQP Technical Workshop.

The aim of the workshop is to allow those wishing to contribute to AMQP at a technical level to have input into the next phases of work on OASIS AMQP, as well as to look at how we can better facilitate adoption of the existing OASIS AMQP 1.0 Core protocol.

    Proposed Agenda:

Mon/Tue: Bindings and Mappings (2 days)
Stream A: JMS/WCF/DTX
Stream B: SCTP/OpenMAMA/C/C++

Wed: Global Addressing/End-to-end Security (1 day)

Thu/Fri: Adoption: Conformance Testing, Documentation, Examples (2 days)

    Location

Discussion on the AMQP TC and Member Section lists suggested that since our last AMQP meetings have been in the US, Europe was the preferred venue for the Technical Workshop. The current proposal is to find a location in the UK - probably in the North of England or Scotland.

    Dates

To allow us to get the best possible attendance we've set up a poll.

If you are interested in attending the workshop, please select the weeks which you are able to attend (note that you do not necessarily need to attend all days of the conference). The vote will close on Tuesday March 27th.
